WHY CLEANING FREE OF CHEMICAL IS THE WAY TO GO?

WHY CLEANING FREE OF CHEMICAL IS THE WAY TO GO?

The Market ..

When it comes to house cleaning, product manufacturers compete with imagination. They try to catch your attention with the packaging, the colour, the fragrance, the price or the “AMAZING” last generation of molecule that will clean everything. Also you have heaps of products for each area in the house. For example, in the shower you have a product for the tiles, for the grout of the tiles, for the glass shower, for the chrome, for the plug holes etc. For any part of the house you will find at least 10 different products. You can lose your mind there, No ?

The Risk for your Health
Cleaning chemicals are not that safe. First, environmental experts state that the average household contains a minimum of 62 toxic chemicals. Exposed to them routinely, and we may face mild symptoms like skin irritation and itchy eyes, or other major symptoms. , there’s no regulation of what goes into, say, our oven cleaner`` As senior scientist at the Environmental Working Group (EWG) Rebecca Sutton, PhD, says, “In terms of household cleaners, neither ingredients nor products must meet any sort of safety standard, nor is any testing data or notification required before bringing a product to market.” Is it any wonder, then, that some products include warning labels that say “may be hazardous to humans and pets?” extract from dr Stellsmith. According to a study out of Norway University of Bergen, regular use of cleaning sprays was shown to be on par with smoking 20 cigarettes per day, with scientists from the study determining that commercial products “may constitute a risk to respiratory health, not only in terms of asthma, but also in terms of long-term impact on lung function decline.” The National Institute of health in USA, supports this, stating that cleaning products “contain a multitude of chemical substances with known health effects” in terms of the skin (such as rashes and burns) and the respiratory tract (e.g.: breathing problems.) The Cleveland Clinic adds to this as well, pointing out that if, for example, a child ingested laundry detergent (which is responsible for “many household poisonings from accidental swallowing”), they could experience “nausea, vomiting, shock, convulsions and coma.” Sound terrifying? It is.

MY CARPET MY BEST FRIEND – MY BEDDING MY WORST ENEMY

MY CARPET MY BEST FRIEND – MY BEDDING MY WORST ENEMY

We all love to walk bare foot on our carpet. Carpet give  cosy interior, a kind of cocoon full of sweetness, and at the end of the day it is so good to curl up into our bed:
 BUT WHAT SHOULD WE KNOW?
The quality of the air at home: “THE CARPET SOLUTION”

The carpet improve the quality of the indoor air by the capture of suspended dust which are mostly eliminated by a good vacuum cleaner twice per week. With other smooth coatings, dust arises is not captured and stays suspended at the level where you breeze.
The German association for Asthma and Allergies asked the GUT environmental and Ambient Analysis to carry a very noteworthy study of the pollution of indoor space by fine dust.
Published results from more than 100 outbreaks have revealed an average of fine dust concentration of 62.9 ug/m2 when using smooth soil, which is above the legal limit for dust concentration un outdoor air set as a maximum of 50 ug/m2. On the other hand, in rooms with carpeted floors, the dust concentration was half that with a rate of 34.4 ug/m2.

These results are of considerable importance given that human spends more than 90% of their life in close rooms.

WHAT ABOUT BEDDING?
There are 3 main factors promoting the proliferation of mites: - Humidity (between 60 and 80%) - Temperature (between 25 and 32 ° C) - Food (human or animal dander).
These 3 factors are not as high in the carpet as they are they are in mattress and bedding. Bedding is considered the primary reservoir, its bacteria content could be up to 10 times higher than in the carpet.

WHAT IS THE RISK ?
The mites, or more precisely, some of their droppings, are responsible for a large number of allergies, including 75% of respiratory allergies (allergic rhinitis, asthma) but also skin (atopic dermatitis).
These tiny animals belonging to the class of arachnids, and invisible to the naked eye, are present in the house dust.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?
1. Check humidity and do not exceed 60%
2. Check the temperature, do not exceed 22 ° C for the living room and 18 ° C in the bedrooms.
3. Air every day, open windows, all rooms and bedding.
4. Clean surfaces with a damp textile and remove the dust nests.
5. Vacuum at least once a week
6. Shampoo your carpet at least once a year and sanitize your bedding at least twice a year.

WHY ITS IMPORTANT TO CLEAN YOUR CARPET'S

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO CLEAN YOU CARPETS.

Cleaning your carpets is a very important task to complete every 12 months in a residential environment and every 6 to 9 months in a commercial environment. Why may you ask? Well its pretty simple. The fibers in your carpet trap and hold dirt, dust and moisture deep in the fibers. This than becomes a suitable environment for bacteria and mould to form and grow.
In most cases the mold and bacteria are not visible but it is there and there in high numbers. The world health organisation states that mould and bacteria in carpets could be the leading cause for illness within the house, with such medical conditions such as asthma and respiratory conditions being the worst effected.

Cleaning your carpets on a annual basis with commercial grade equipment and shampoo's the like that are used by us at Clean Rite will kill and remove the bacteria and mould from deep within your carpets fibers, We can even treat your carpet to prevent the return of the bacteria and mould  for a long period of time.

You might ask how Clean Rite are able to do this? The answer is simple, we follow a detailed cleaning system which has important and key steps involved to ensure the right outcome. Below is a list of these steps used by Clean Rite.

  1. Clean Rite tech will remove all items from the room to ensure all the carpet is cleaned and no contaminated area's are left.
  2. We will pre spray the carpet with a citrus based pre spray soap, This is allowed to soap into the dirty carpet for up to 15 min, we ensure it does not dry and if needed we will re spray to keep the carpet damp.
  3. In the process of extraction we are also cycling hot water mixed with a deep shampoo solution through the carpets fibers, This draws out all the dirt, dust, bacteria and mould from deep with the carpets fiber's. This process is repeated until the desired result is achieved.
  4. Once the carpets are cleaned we will post stray the carpet with a deodorizer to leave the carpets smelling like fresh flowers, we will also ad an inhibitor to this spray to prevent the return of the mould.
  5. The final step and most important is to turn on our air movers to dry the carpet to ensure a clean, fresh and dry results for the client.

WHAT NOT TO DO!

Hiring one of those rug doctors from your local hardware store is not only a waste of time but it also makes the problem worst as the poor quality of the machine will not extract all the water and will leave a wet environment for the mould to grow back just as fast and as bad as before.

Don't use house hold cleaning products on carpets, you need to use specifically designed soaps so not to do any damage to your carpet's.

Also it is not advised to clean wool carpets with water heated to over 95 degrees as it can also damage the carpets fibers.

If you have any doubt if your carpets have mould growing deep within the carpets fibers its best to get an expert out like Clean Rite Carpet Cleaners to inspect and provide you a free no obligation Quote and they can tell you what you need to get your carpets looking as close to new as possible
